EXCERPTS:
Tallest Peak in Solar System
"a mountain named the Olympus Mons (at Mars), Latin for mount Olimpus,
is the tallest known peak in the solar system."
If you took a picture of Olympus Mons, and put it next to mount Everest,
and the big island of Hawaii, even taken all the way down to he base of the ocean,
they'll look like molehills, compared with Olympus Mons on Mars.
That mount is so large you can be on its slopes and you would not know that you're on a slope of a volcano.
Water needs both warmth and pressure to remain in liquid form.
1938, War of the Worlds.
